Some websites I like:
The Kitchen Table Blog
I love, love, love this blog. It is a back and forth, on-going conversation between two women:
Dr. Melissa Harris-Lacewell, Associate Professor of Politics and African American Studies at Princeton University
Dr. Yolanda Pierce, Associate Professor of African American Religion and Literature at Princeton Theological Seminary.
These women are fierce! They are incredibly sharp and I have come to really appreciate their dialogue on issues related to race, politics, culture, etc. I recently saw Dr. Harris-Lacewell on the Bill Moyers show and now have a professional crush on her. She is brilliant. This is a great blog.
Tim Wise
Tim is a writer and speaker on issues of privilege and antiracism. He is very passionate and extremely bright, and I am a big fan of his work. His site includes his blog, links to articles and dialogues, an extensive recommended reading list and more. Tim is a fierce champion for social justice.
Racism Review
I started following @JessieNYC on Twitter for one reason or another and that led me to this blog, which has become one of my favorites. There is very strong examination here of issues related to race in America. I started reading on a regular basis during the presidential campaign and became hooked. There is really good content here as well as a lot of great comments from visitors.
Queers United
I was also introduced to this blog through Twitter and began visiting it during the Proposition 8 campaign. An activist blog for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual, Asexual community & Allies in the fight for equality, this site provides commentary and news on national and global issues. I really have appreciated the content here regarding “ex-gay camps and programs.”
Catalyst
Catalyst is focused on expanding opportunities for women and business, and I appreciate the research, data, best practices, and benchmarking info that they provide on their site. There is a ton of valuable data and information that is very business relevant.
