Despite the less than stellar job report(s) from last week, companies that I am speaking with remain optimistic on hiring and many are still struggling to find qualified candidates to fill their open positions.
Regardless, recruiting teams have to diversify their recruitment marketing efforts. Every person I speak with has an egg timer (no pun intended) on their job board contract. Will they swear off job boards completely? The smart money is moving to digital recruiting through targeted advertising and social media recruiting. This is not a HUGE shock. It is hard to imagine that LinkedIn was going to allow competitive companies to use their data for free. Business is business.

I was quite surprised by the percentages that people are using LinkedIn for hiring. I would have thought that it would have been even higher.
