How useful do you find the "recruiter's recruiter"?

I am currently a recruiter of recruiters for the staffing industry and I am seeking some feedback. Do you as fellow recruiters use recruiters and if not, how come? If you have used a recruiter to find a new position, what was the best/worst part of your experience. I am not trying to gain business here, just looking to improve my skills and learn from my fellow recruiters. Thank you.

Dana,

I work with several of them who reach out to me to use my social networks to find recruiters - and while most are professional, they are pretty cold and distant. As a recruiter, that doesn't seem the brightest thing to do, as it's a cold shock of water to be treated like a candidate.

It is of course a very good chance to evaluate how we treat our candidates, but recruiter recruiters would be far better served warming up and understanding good candidates know all the tricks.

You can expect a lot of recruiters, because you shouldn't have to explain the rules to them, but don't treat us like meat.

And if someone wants to ask me to use my network to help them - have a point. Don't shuffle garbage my way and expect me to call it gold and post it on my blogs.
