Integration and alignment are additional themes that kept coming up at the symposium. Employees should be looking for work-life integration these days instead of work-life balance. Work-life balance is very difficult, if not impossible, but work-life integration is doable!
All levels of the organization and all employees, vendors, and other stakeholders should have alignment and integration. Departments, processes, and systems should be integrated. Teamwork is another theme, but that's very related to alignment and integration. Company culture and employee engagement is very related as well. If your employees, management, and company mission and values are aligned, that should show in your company's culture and the engagement level of the employees.
