A new change for LinkedIn profiles is coming to a desktop near you starting TODAY! 12-11-12. Take a look at a recent email I received form LinkedIn regarding the changes below.

Now before we all get into a battle with LinkedIn "Doing their own thing" it's important to realize that the services are not going away. The presentation will be different and the services that connect you to the services will be different. That being said, it does look like you will need to connect the new services to replace the old service, which by the way in no longer on your profile!

I will be watching the rate of user adoption on making these changes and how this (what I will assume to be low adoption rate) will effect Recruiters without a professional services LinkedIn Account.

For Recruiters this may close a few loop holes in connecting off of the LinkedIn system

Here is the email that I received form LinkedIn:

As we roll out these changes, we’ll also be streamlining our app offerings, so the following LinkedIn apps will no longer be supported on the homepage or profile as of December 11:
