I read an interesting article the other day about how LinkedIn is offering a premium to jobseekers to highlight their profile and ranking them higher in the results than those more qualified in the search results for employers paying for posts.
Is Linkedin Cheating Employers and Job Seekers alike?
More infuriating, I keep getting emails (and I am sure I am not alone) to upgrade my personal Linkedin account to Jobseeker Premium. The email I just received really upset me since it said :
Here are a few companies where Premium subscribers now work:
and then (just happened) to list 3 companies, all of which are my recent/current clients!! Coincidence?? I'm not entirely sure….
I can't be paranoid here, as they were 3 for 3 !! AND 1 of these is a 30 person company!
If anyone else received this email, I would love to compare the companies they highlighted on yours…
