JOB DESCRIPTION for the role of Sr Engineer - Water Networks for Leading Renewable Energy Company in Middle East

Designation : SE, Water Network
Experience : 10.00 to 15.00 years; Education : B.Sc, M.B.A, M.PED

Role Purpose:
Managing the design and construction of water networks and pumping stations in the master planned City

Key Accountabilities:
• Review, interpretation & understanding of preliminary, concept & final design reports for pumping stations.
• Overseeing the technical aspects of the pumping station and water network designs for the city.
• Technical supervision of tenders and pumping station design and construction (including all related electrical and mechanical equipment).
• Ensuring that the pumping stations are maintained and operated successfully.

Key Activities:
• Coordinating with consultants and contractors.
• Liaising with governmental bodies to ensure regulatory acceptance.
• Preparing and delivering reports and mechanical specifications relating to technical issues.
Identifying appropriate mitigation strategies to overcome problems or obstacles related to the projects.
• Coordinating with consultants and contractors.
• Evaluating proposals.
• Managing the commissioning of all pumping station related projects.
• Preparing and reviewing O & M contracts.
• Review and preparation of O & M procedures and manuals.
• Industry/Domain: Water Treatment

Necessary knowledge and Experience to be able to do the job:
• Minimum 10 years relevant experience on a multitude of water and wastewater projects with a strong design background.
• Demonstrated knowledge of water networks and pumping station design and construction.
• Experience in the operations and maintenance of pumping stations.

Education and Certification requirements:
• Bachelors in Mech Engg or equivalent. Masters preferred. PE or CEng certification preferred.

Job specific technical Skills:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead staff in network and pumping station design and construction.
• Must be a proactive team player with the ability to liaise comfortably with consultants and contractors.
