Let me be upfront - I think Joy Caldwell is very gracious to post a need for virtual recruiters. In this economy, sharing is caring. But I do have some questions...

Why would anyone want to hire unsuccessful recruiting professionals?

I wonder how many of the posters actually checked out the Goal Recruiting website?

Why would any recruiter who has undoubtedly experienced the unbridled mass response that goes along with posting a job, do the very same thing and post their interest to the thread? Wouldn't it be more personal to directly message the poster of the job?

The mob response just reminds me of a Black Friday sale at Wal-Mart.

I wondered the same thing looking at the responses to that post. I even questioned the split percentage as the dollar amounts seemed unusually low. That didn't deter people from still posting their resumes...why they didn't send that kind of info privately surprises me. By the nature of many of the responses, it doesn't seem clear that people know what they are actually applying for...that this is an all commission split arrangement, not a 'contract'.

It might also spell "desperation" - which is another unfortunate job search response. People - FOCUS!! TAKE A DEEP BREATH!! RELAX AND THINK!!
