Hey Reuben. Welcome to the club. You've come to the right place for advice on all things related to recruiting. There are some incredibly experienced and knowledgeable (and very friendly) recruiters here. the road to connecting with and recruiting candidates through your blog (or someone else's) is bound to require patient outreach to the community of candidates who are open to learning about opportunities through blogs or tweets (on twitter.com). i just tasted some early success with getting candidate leads from twitter by using hashjobs.com to advertise my job postings. my experience has taught me that social networking requires you to engage with the community and contribute your thoughts and lend your ideas and invest in building and managing those relationships well. when your ideas and comments permeate the community's discussion space, your chances of gaining traction with people you might want to develop a professional working relationship with will improve. having said that, i must also add that i'm new to the space and there's far more you will glean from just browsing this blog and engaging with others here. good luck, Reuben!
