New York City area employers and staffing agencies posted more than 80,200 new online job ads jobs in May, up 23% over May 2010. Demand has now rebounded from the drop in April and has gained 46% since the beginning of this year.
Hiring Demand for NYC Metro Area — 4 Years:
The IT industry continues to lead the metro area in hiring demand, with nearly 21,000 new job ads posted in May in Computer and Mathematical Occupations. Other high growth occupations include Registered Nurses, Marketing Managers, and Management Analysts, all showing greater than 47% growth over May 2010.
