As a third-party recruiter, I have received many articles and webinar invitations revolving around recruiting in a downturn economy. I would be interested in having an open dialogue with recruiters and corporate talent acquisition teams to see how they are handling our current economy.

Note: I do not open this as a camplaining session as we can all do that, but rather hopefully gain insight for the overall benefit of the group.

Hi Trip,

I'm working my ass off making more presentations (40-50 per day) and spending lots more time researching and sourcing the evening before typically up till 11:30 or so to have enough calls to accomplish my call goal. I believe the corporate sector jobs market will be bad for a long time and regard every day as a serious life and death struggle finding qualified passive candidates over the phone meeting client company criteria. Only thing you can do/control in an awful market is try to outwork it, IMO, with more calls.
