Recruitment Marketing Articles of the Week 10.2.10 to 10.8.10

Here is our weekly feature in which we share the top articles we enjoyed from the past week about recruitment marketing. This week we’ll be doing what I’m calling the conference edition and share articles based on the two conferences I attended over the past, HR Tech and RecruitFest. So this week is about HR Tech Twitter analysis, lessons to be learned from HR Tech, Leveraging analytics in HR, the awesomeness of RecruitFest and a pretty cool shout-out for SmashFly.

Here are the articles that interested us this week (in no particular order), enjoy!:

#HRTechConf Twitter Conversation Analysis Part 1 & Part 2 by Josh Letourneau (@JLetourneau)

Some really cool analysis from Josh on the influencers on Twitter from the HR Tech Conference!

Five Lessons from HR Technology 2010 by Mark Stelzner (@stelzner)

Some Great insight from Mark on some areas that worked and could be better for next year’s conference. Totally agree with #4.

Analytics Driving New Definition of “Best of Breed” by John Zappe (@ERE_net)

Interesting piece into one of the best discussions during HR Tech about product suites vs. best of breed and how to leverage the analytics across all your solutions. Here’s our take.

Competing on Talent Analytics by Harvard Business Review (@HarvardBiz)

Nice take on the bigger talent analytics issues that are facing HR organizations. Would have liked to see a little more on the recruitment analytics side though.

RecruitFest Video Recordings and Twitter Hashtag Transcript (#RecruitFest) by (@RecruitFest)

If you didn’t tune in, RecruitFest was an absolute blast. Lots of great speakers and interesting conversations to be had in the Paramount in Boston. It doesn’t appear that they have the videos up for viewing yet but I definitely encourage you to sign up and watch some of the breakout sessions (I recommend the Candidate Engagement and Going Glocal if you can just do two).

Even more impressive than the sessions was the Twitter Stream, so make sure to check out the Twitter stream and participate at #RecruitFest.

We were named one of Massachusetts 5 Startups to Follow by MassHighTech (@MassHighTech)

Just wanted to thank everyone that voted for us over the last week. We really appreciate it!

Hope you enjoy the list. If you have any articles I should add to the list feel free to add them to the comments or send me an email at chris@smashfly.com or follow us on Twitter @smashfly.
