For the first time this year, we are seeing a decrease in the volume of online job ads posted for Computer and IT related jobs when compared to the same period last year.  Employers and staffing agencies posted just over 27,000 new online job ads during the last 60 days, representing a decrease of approximately 4% versus the same 60 day period in 2010.

Out of the top ten occupations that employers were looking to fill, only three saw year-over-year growth: Computer Systems Analysts, Computer Systems Engineers / Architects, and Computer Programmers.

Computer Software Engineers (Applications) 6,891 -4.50%
