Social and Mobile Recruitment continues to dominate the headlines: Grandma's Chicken Soup #36

I missed last week's Grandma's Chicken Soup due to the fact that I have a ton of work and had a number of great meetings with clients and prospects.  Something had to give.  I have gained a tremendous amount of respect for my colleagues who can blog on a regular basis and keep a day job.

That being said, there is a lot of action occurring in the talent acquisition/recruiting space right now.  I am very optimistic about hiring, despite some of economic negativity globally.  I refuse to let any negativity bring me down.  Companies are stepping out of their recruiting comfort zones and trying new recruiting channels because the same old same old just isn't effective any more.

Strategic thinking and innovation are keys and it is more obvious than ever that recruiting teams have to diversify their recruitment marketing efforts. Job seekers are getting savvier about their search and what information they share online. You have to make sure that your organization is found or finding the right candidates when they are looking online.

Organizations are increasing moving budget to digital recruitment marketing channels, such as social media recruiting and targeted online advertising. Are you? Please check out this week's social recruiting headlines...

You are missing a tremendous opportunity if you are not exploring Facebook for recruiting candidates.
