The Infographic resumes are made with the use of the graphic design elements which are differing from the traditional resume styles. In traditional resume, there is only use of the basic text which is listing the information from the top to bottom. Whereas in the infographic resume you will find the layout, icons, color and the font styling for organizing the content.
Tips & Tricks for Infographic Resume Writers
There are several guidelines which you should have to be followed always regardless of whatever experience level you have.
STEP 1:
Use of the colors should be very minimum. You should always have to stick with the three to four colors which are of varying shades and are all separated by the colors which are all working well with each other. Blues and green would be a very good color choice to start.
The background should comprise of a solid light color which is having the darker shade.
STEP 2:
This document is a professional one. You should avoid the loud, cartoonish graphics that will detract the content of the resume. Whatever the font you are using be mindful of using it. The readability should be the number one priority and avoid using all the outlandish and the highly stylish fonts. If the font which you are using is very common around the internet or if the font is using in the company websites, for all these questions if the answer is no then you should not use this font.
STEP 3:
The layout should make a sense. You should have to follow the logical and proper flow of information. If we take an example then your name and email should not come at the bottom of the document. If you are a brand new then this is where a template would be coming really handy.
Final STEP:
Keep the resume as simple as possible. This will not be too much stress. If your design would not employ the masterful use of the charts, it is very hard to read, the key components of your resume are very much challenging to decipher, then the infographic resume is would work against you. Keep it very clean and simple and always remember that you will always have to include the essentials of your name, academic background, contact information and the work experience.
