Would you expect a plan to lose jobs? Unless you can show me - and every citizen - the model and data used by the President's Office of Political Propaganda, it's all bunk.

Keep drinking Obama's Koolaid... or for that matter any politician who hasn't the foggiest idea how to create a job that isn't within their own district.

If you want to come back with a response, do so with data that is fresh.

By the way, the plan won't save 228K jobs in New York state. You're simply wrong. And I do from time to time watch Fox New because I like to see Republicans froth at the mouth - I'm a lifelong card-carrying Democrat as are my parents whose tax dollars funded the initial social welfare programs so important to current ACORN organizers.

Sung, have you ever looked onto how the BLS computes employment numbers? How the company birth/death numbers are at best dubious estimations? Or how most payrolls - and therefore additions to staff - cannot be met with revolving credit lines that come from the financial institutions receiving TARP funds?

Being a Democrat doesn't mean one has to give up on the free market system because people mortgaged themselves into a hole; pumping more blood into a Medicaid system that is already on life support so more can receive some kind coverage doesn't like change or good business. The stimulus package is wholly partisan but contains nearly 9000 earmarks, 40% of which are Republican

Nothing personal Sung but infrastructural projects contained in the plan won't bring back tech jobs or manufacturing plants - unless the pols introduce more isolationistic policies. More government? You mean more Medicaid? The same SEC that wouldn't go after Bernie madoff ultimately leading to the demise of charities that helped millions?

I'm very happy you like way Karen presented her side; however reread my post to see what I was writing about (the distribution of wealth). And I feel horrible that you've taken Obama's plan as gospel without checking the details.

Then you post a conservative article by the Heritage Foundation to support another viewpoint.

Follow the money Karen and you'll see where these things lead; write back when you find a truly unbiased center-sitting organization. Until then, your links are nothing but fronts for groups with agendas that have more to do with command and control than compassion. Real nice.

You're tireless if nothing else. How about going back to the initial post and addressing Gov. Patterson's distribution of wealth to the state?

But then again, cutting and pasting is easier.

Odd - other than to showoff your level of erudition, why did you mention NBER?

One more thing...why would anyone need EPI if you were the one who predicted the recession?

All links were visited; they always are, always will be, because misinterpreting research is more dangerous than not having read the studies in the first place.

What companies write about themselves is what they want people to read; I'm sorry you have have yet to grasp the essence of this and what I'm talking about when I speak of research validity, more specifically external, internal, construct, and statistical conclusion validities.

For every liberal oriented think tank there is a conservative oriented one with results at the other end of the spectrum. Whether you understand the research design and analysis or not, what does this tell you?
