The importance of HR & Talent Management in the current economic conditions

"Talent management is the science of using strategic human resource planning to improve business value and to make it possible for companies and organizations to reach their goals." It is just like the joint piece of puzzle that will altogether with the rest of other HR functions contribute to the total success of the company. Moreover, it should be even the most important part: the one that brings innovation, development, new ideas - the one which instills "fresh blood" in our (a little bit tired) company body and keeps us moving forward.

It becomes especially important in the times of crisis. Namely, in adverse economic conditions, many companies feel the need to cut expenses. This should be the ideal environment to execute a talent management system as a means of optimizing the performance of each employee and the organization. Unexpectedly, but did you know in fact that within many companies the concept of human capital management has just begun to develop? Namely, only 5 percent of organizations say they have a clear talent management strategy and operational programs in place today.

So, take advantage and use the selection tools in order to increase your ROI. Make a long-term plan of HR development and choose the best HR software that could support all your operations. It should be quick and it should be punctual - you know what key skills you need from your current and future employees in order to progress and all you need is just a solid algorithm that will find a best person for the best position.

We try to inspire people. If you really think it's important to keep pace with future technology needs, take a look at this video:

In the meantime, take care of your employees and they will take care of you :)

What is the source of the "5 percent of organizations say they have a clear talent management strategy and operational programs in place" statistic? Even if true, how does this make the case that buying the solution advertised in this post will fix that? Or does it say, "This is a solution that is better than nothing."

Any system with selection by algorithm depersonalizes the hiring process and is not progress. Listen to the complaints of job seekers falling into a computer generated black hole instead of lazy recruiters that claim they don't have enough time... or recruiting managers who are too cheap to apply resources that would restore a high touch human contact. Fix the problem instead of hiding it.

Tom, if I'm not mistaken, this is an ad for "A revolutionary way for recruiters, to find the correct candidate for a specific position. Win time and meet online your candidates!"

Yes, Steve. One person clicked "Like" on this post... no wait... it was the author. Never mind. I hope they didn't pay for this ad... I'm not buying it.

Dear Tom, the source is a talent management research written in 2012: http://iiste.org/Journals/index.php/EJBM/article/viewFile/1427/1352. Should you have more recent statistics from a valid research, please let me know.

The tool mentioned in the article is a complimentary product that can help managers mainly from recruiting agencies or those who work with a very large number of candidates to save time, find more easily a perfect candidate by skill tags, online questions... No one can replace the human factor, but sometimes it is impossible to interview and shortlist thousands of candidates, especially if you have more clients and more job posts at the same time to follow OR if you are just unable to hire more recruiters for your company. I can connect you with appropriate people to demonstrate you the product if you want.

Don't forget that final decision is always from human's factor. But even the smartest manager wants to have a very good and reliable team and a very good supportive tools before he makes the next move. There are no magic pills for obesity, but there are very good natural food supplements that enhances slimming, right? It's the same with rotten HR division in your company...
