There is no future in any job. The future lies in the man who holds the job.

George Crane uttered these words. Recruiters are facing difficult times right now. The demand for our expertise has diminished greatly. Companies are firing people and it is our job to find them jobs. Well, when most of the companies are letting people go, our own job is in jeopardy. IT sector has been hit dramatically during these crises. Technology is one of the areas that gets hit hard during economic turmoils. After all, IT is not a necessity like health care and pharmaceuticals.

As technical recruiters, we need to look ahead. How many of us see what awaits us? Personally, I don't like what I see ahead. I see more tightening and more competition for little openings that are out there. There is going to be a big wave of recruiters leaving the IT sectors. More and more technical recruiters will either leave the recruiting profession or move onto other staffing sectors. Rightfully so. What do you think?
