Three Questions to Ask Yourself before Redesigning the Website

Are you attracted by the new designs of the web site these days? Do you feel the need to change your website? Are you skeptical about changing your website? If answers to these questions are in affirmative then you have ended up at the right place. Redesigning will undoubtedly confer an entirely new look to the website of yours but it is also true that there are chances that it can lower the flow of traffic. Certainly it has many advantages but there is a negative impact too which is in a way inevitable.

To talk about the customers who visit regularly to your website, it becomes inconvenient for them when the website is redesigned. There are three questions which you should ask yourself before redesigning the whole website. All your dubiousness regarding the new look of your website will be gone once you answer these.

Is your website annoying customers?

It happens many a times that when you open a website music starts playing in the background. Nothing can be more annoying than that. Few websites have so small fonts that it’s next to impossible for someone to read it. The designer places the content in such small frames that the information provided cannot be viewed easily. To discuss the things which irritate customers, pop up windows are one of such item. Disabling the right click menu, opening of new window everytime one clicks on a link, forcible usage of flash players etc are if inculcated in your website then its time that you redesign it completely and give it a new touch by making it user friendly.

Is it easily accessible to the users?

Every website is made with a purpose. Either they share information or they sell products. It is very important that user is getting the type of information they want. Improvising usability should be the motto while you redesign the whole website. It is very much essential that a website is incorporated with the useful information which can be easily accessed by the users.

Is it search engine friendly?

This is a very good reason for redesigning the website. If you are selling certain type of products or services online then it is very much important that user finds your products and for that reason it is very essential that the website is search engine friendly. You can add text to your images, videos and relevant tags to increase the search engine friendliness of the website. If possible then use straight HTML navigation link and avoid the redundancy of the content.

When a customer uses your new website then they face few problems in navigation as they have become pretty much familiar with the old version of it. Changing it altogether may cause a decrease in the number of frequent visitors. So after answering the above mentioned questions go ahead with the redesigning of your website. You can also take the help of various professional web designing companies too as they will lessen your work load by taking care of your brand new website.
