This was a great show with a great guest. It was a highly informative show...even if some of the info shared was well known by the old timers in the listening audience.
Tommy Lawson was frank, knowledgeable, and shared a point of view tempered by working the underbelly of the working world we recruiters know a bit about--candidate backgrounds & background checks--and can therefore empathize and sympathize.
During the Recruiting Animal Show--I tweeted:
@APSCREEN @animal Having worked in CORRECTIONS...the scary thing is: Criminal records reflect ONLY what a person has been caught at. BOOM!
@APSCREEN @animal BTW criminal Rap Sheets reflect some charges that were plea bargained down to a lesser crime--suggesting a hidden danger.
And Animal added: "...hiding more serious issues."
Animal, BTW, orchestrated the show's interesting back-and-forth dialogue most effectively. The show didn't get bogged down...though I missed the AMPED UP ANIMAL--Kudos to him for bringing yet another show with important subject matter and content for employers, recruiters and job applicants.
