A couple of weeks ago I was reminded about Hans Rosling and his bubble chart that animates itself. As charts go, it's pretty fun to watch. So I asked myself last weekend if I could try the chart out on some recruiting metrics just to see how it would look.

Much to the chagrin of my kids on a sunny summer day, I tested two different kinds of animated bubble charts. The first from a software company, and then the Google Bubble chart tool.

Turns out that creating an animated bubble chart using Google Docs is pretty simple, without having to tap APIs (which are available).
