Recruitment refers to the process of attracting, screening, and selecting qualified people for a job.

For some components of the recruitment process, mid- and large-size organizations often retain professional recruiters or outsource some of the process to recruitment agencies.

Rich Peterson says the recruitment industry has 4 main types of agencies: employment agencies, recruitment websites and job search engines, "headhunters" for executive recruitment, and niche agencies for specialized areas.

Richard, you asked for my suggestions.

Don't spam the site with a flood of blogs. This is a site for recruiters not candidates so interviewing tips are ignored. Defining what we do ie, recruiting and talent acquisition looks a little silly. Would you post on a site for tax professionals a definition of accounting or that tax accountants prepare tax returns.

If you want engagement blog about personal experiences as a recruiter or questions about specific situations. "how to" blogs are a dime a dozen and largely ignored.

Dear Sandra:

Thank you for your swift response.

I just landed on the site and wasn't entirely too sure who the "Audience" was.

Thank you for the clarification.

Richard, I would suggest reading the blogs on the site before adding any more definitions. Personally I want a human touch to writing and a reasoning behind it.

Dear Derdiver,

Agreed!

As you can see from my above comment, I just discovered RecruitingBlogs.com. I thought the, "audience was the immediate world."

I now know, it's for recruiters only and my hunch is that they know what it means already.

Unless I missed it, RecruitingBlogs.com should prominently display "For Recruiters and HR Professionals only," versus "burying it" on the bottom of the Home Page.

Thanks for the heads up.
