This topic has come up previously on RBC and I must say that I do find it to be a bit amusing. As a recruiting professional - what is your current job title?

Recruitment Consultant

Headhunter

Talent Acquisition Specialist

Candidate Experience Manager

Have any creative titles you might add to the list?

recruiter.co.uk had an interesting discussion on the topic;

Speaking at the TEAM National Conference last Friday, Russell Dalgleish, managing partner at Exolta Capital Partners, said “it can be a problematic area when it comes to how a recruiter refers to themselves”.

“Making yourself unique and easy to remember could set you apart from the rest of your competition. Be unique and go against the tide,” he told the audience.

Is this what our profession has come to? Creating a nifty job title to not offend candidates? To have 'brand' recognition? Recruiter. Plain and simple. At the end of the day it is what we do. I personally have never deviated away from it. When asked - I'm a recruiter. How about you?
