Candidates, friends and all that Jazz

As I am going through my day to day I am faced with what isn't a new discussion with my clients, but something all of us recruiters talk about all the time. The Candidate experience.

This is an important piece of the overall recruiting function, whether your internal, outsourced vendor, or staffing agency, the candidate experience you and your client provide is invaluable. Courting the candidate... and your significant other

I realized today that there is a great deal of similarities between courting a mate and courting our candidates.

when your courting your significant other, in the beginning you are possibly dating others and so you look to be the best, the best at talking, laughing and joking, hanging out, showing off all of you great assets, being YOU. How to rock your candidates world... So simple

There are so many of us out there looking to recruit the same candidates, and we all have our pitch about why our opportunity is better, but what is going to stand out in the mind of the candidates? The personal time we take to get to know them and understand what they are really looking for. I would love to pose the question, how many of us really take the time to get to know our candidates and make sure we are being their consultant and not just pushing them through the process to make a… Continue

Are you a Great Staffing Partner?

This question affects all of us anyone looking to acquire great talent has a staffing partner. But the question is what kind of staffing partner are you to your clients?

As a recruiting professional I have run into many recruiters that do not understand the true meaning of being a great staffing partner, or they think that they have done all they can, and feel there is nothing more they can do. Let’s cover a few key areas that would be a great start to building a great staffing partnership… Continue
