Hi Ryan, that is interesting. I didn't realize she was getting support from area tech companies. Most everything I've seen has been strongly against the decision. I agree that work from home option should always be looked at on an individual basis, seeing if it makes sense for the work being done.
Hi Pam, I work from home nearly 100% so I understand the value, however there has been literally dozens of articles posted on high end news sites from the valley backing her decision saying that most people companies in the valley don't allow work from home and never have. Depending on the position telecommuting is can be a bad thing. For me it works. But for development maybe not so well.
I'd say that 90% + of our developers (in the thousands) work form an office daily. The communication is just too critical.
Recruiting on the other hand is different.
