I just found an interesting tool on LinkedIn; Company Statistics.  It is currently listed as being in Beta and provides an overview of information such as the top companies folks worked for prior to working with the company and the top organizations folks went to when they left the company, the average number of years of work experience of employees at the company vs. employees at similar companies (“similar companies are based on the same industry and similar size”), and similar statistics on educational degree, job functions, annual company growth and title changes.

I can tell at a glance which firms we have hired the most employees from and which firms we have lost the most people to.  In the instance of the same company being on both lists, I can quickly determine the ratio.  Currently, I can also see these stats for competitors… which is really cool.  Now I know where they are getting their Talent and where their Talent is going next.  Going to “play” with this for a bit.
