Recording - Recruiting Animal Show - feat @Shally

Sometimes, the Recruiting Animal is too weak to manage a show properly. That happened today. I invited a lawyer to comment on the disparate impact of recruiting on foursquare. It was interesting but I let it go on for about 5 minutes too long. Then the song I played was set too loud and it drowned out any singing that was going on. So I only got to the great Shally around the 20 minute mark. And I should have focused more on sourcing which is Shally's specialty but instead I asked him about all sorts of things. And there were all sorts of interruptions. If you want to listen after I've told you that, be my guest.

@Animal.  The Animal Recruiting Show continues to impress.  Even this one that concerned you so much you opted to explained the missteps, interruptions, etc.

For me, and I am a minority (Double entendre ), the more chaotic the better and your Ring Leadership makes it all come together.  That’s not meant as compliment as it is an outside observation of the undercurrents of the show.  While some feel you’re loud interjections and tirades are annoying and distracting—they’re actually necessary to pull and push the intensity from all the participants.  When it falters you jump in.  The funny part is when Jerry Albright or someone else comes to the defense of the show’s Guest from your lambasting.

Jerry, however, takes a lead role in blunting your impact and his insights, butt-ins and commentary under the bluster of competing conversations and the roar of the Animal--to me is entertainment.  But more importantly, he leads the back and forth between you, the Guest and others.  In that mess, if you’re listening (and I do), comes truly instructive insights which makes the Recruiting Animal Show a value to the recruiting community.

The added value, in my view, is the growing corps (not corpus) of survivors of the show in a Guest role.  I feel I survived my Guest appearance and believe me—there’s pride in that because it’s an accomplishment.  I’ve listened to other Guests bomb on past shows—so it’s no cakewalk.  Some do very well, but if you assume the Animal and the gathered listeners will let you say anything—your mistaken and you will hear the slight patter of little feet and also soon hear what a feeding frenzy must sound like (if that makes sense).  And like a car wreck on the 405 (CA) you have to at least look--and in this case--listen in the direction of where all the noise is coming from.  It's coming from THE RECRUITING ANIMAL SHOW! (as Jerry bellows).

Finally, Animal, I found a UTUBE feature that somewhat resembles what You would look like and sound like if the Recruiting Animal Show was on Skype.  Though this video is dramatically different--please use your imagination because it depicts the frustration you often exhibit in your many attempts to get the Guest to speak-up, make sense, speak English, stay on track, not embarrass you, etc.

While the subject matter is dramatically different please relate to as if the subject matter was related to what goes on on the Recruiting Animal Show.  And the punches thrown here to your head—please see those as symbolic jabs from Jerry and others relative to protecting the Guest, or simply smacking you in the head because they disagree with something you said…which is often.  I got a kick out of it, but I have a wild imagination…enjoy.

Thanks for the extended review Valentino. I dont see that too often. Or, like, ever. Only one problem: Too much praise for Jerry!

@Animal,

First, I knew you wouldn't like my extended review (please consider it a commercial PLUG). PLUS my spiel is for the curious out there in RBC land who need to take on The Recruiting Animal Show...It is a test of firewalking at its best as you know...otherwise you wouldn't caution people before their appearance.

And Jerry, like it or not ), balances your high on life energy...actually slows your roll...before you go catatonic.

No comment on the video comparison I selected as an interesting mirror image and audio stream of you/your show?  It reminded me (at least) of your back and forth with good and/or dim guests and the jabs you take on-air?  I liked it a lot.

Yeah you're right, that episode was dreadful.

It sounded unplanned.

That last sentence was me being ironic.

To: Anyone who has never heard of the Recruiting Animal Show.

This show was totally planned and if you dont like this one you won't like any Animal Shows because they are pretty much all like that.

I've liked others, just not that one.
