I just had a candidate disappear on me. We wanted to set up an interview and he is not taking my calls or answering my emails. How very rude.

I've had worse happen, I had a third interview set-up with a great NYC ad agency and the candidate did not show and stopped taking calls or responding to emails! And my last candidate before I was laid off from my Agency decided not to take a position in San Diego 190k base pay because her parents told her not to relo from NJ in this economy! It's all part of dealing with the public, dont let this experience effect you, its the same as in everyday life. Some people are cool and others are a holes.

Hey Michael, this is a global thing! To quote the Doors (and I don't do that easily) "People are strange!". I had a person just not show up on day one! No call, no email no nothing. We called, nothing, we called home nothing. I eventually got hold of his wife, who was surprised saying well he is at work... I mentioned that he was supposed to have started with us. Very weird, and this guy was pretty senior too $140K. Annoyed me
