Changing marketplace, demands better preparation

After attending previous ERE and ASA conferences and working with staffing clients over the years, I have been told many times over and over...the staffing companies need to 'think forward". This was the biggest reason I left my career in human resources (recruitment and training) and started putting my skills, knowledge and experience to use. My partner and I wanted to create a software that was specific to the staffing industry that they could provide to their candidates. We wanted to create learning tools and online training products that would better prepare candidates of all levels before going into a job interview.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen a "superstar" candidate submitted to me on paper, but once they start talking in the job interview its over before it even begins. So why are staffing companies providing so much on the front end but not focusing attention and providing training to their main assets...the candidates?

I believe there's no better time to offer preparations tools and resources to your candidates to better their chances and potentially increase your interview to hire ratio. Why spend hours looking for that perfect candidate only to send them unprepared. Provide a value-added service, demonstrate your commitment to your candidate's career, and build your company brand.

EmployPrep is the only software of its kind for the staffing industry, so I wanted to bring it to your attention. Our goal is to work with staffing companies and help you long term. As one successful owner mentioned to us in the previous conference, "you guys are ahead of your time". I agree, but I hope the time is now to see change during this tough employment market.
