Finding time to "Re-brand" and build my Social Network

Wow. I sat down this morning to another day of recruiting and realized that I had gotten into the rut of doing the same thing day in and day out. I am not getting the results I would like to achieve and can not blame it on the economy any more as a scapegoat.
I decided to explore more of the Web 2.0 scene and see what I could learn. So far, I have started with updating my LinkedIn profile and seeking connections with more of my colleagues as a way to quickly expand my network. The next step was to revive my Twitter and RecruitingBlogs accounts.
I now have hit a wall as to which way is the best to go from here. There is so much information that I feel has passed me by over the past year while I was entrenched in the day to day work. This is a short rant as I have soo much to accomplish and my head is spinning.

I would really like to hear some success stories of people building their personal brand and how they achieved that goal. A step by step would be great, (damn, there goes that corp laziness I am trying to kick).

Anyway, back to work. There are lots of Purple Squirrels out there that need a home.
