Sometimes we're clear on the job description and the additional input, that is never put in writing, for a candidate search--only to discover later we misinterpreted something, or some key points were incorrectly stated. 

When this happens and it does, and will in the future--it's typically between the hiring manager and the HR rep/recruiter were the problem resides.  So, recruiters, be mindful of this scenario when you suddenly see weeks of hard work unravel before your eyes.  

Clarify, clarify and clarify again by asking for immediate feedback from the HR rep, particularly if they are strict on not letting you confer with the hiring manager.

Otherwise the first two line of a Buffalo Springfield song..."For What It's Worth"...will ring in your ears when your search effort goes South on you...
