Hi Susan,

What a great coincidence. Both my parents have been in Buenos Aires for the past 19 years and they love it. They enjoy traveling, but they truly made this home and I understand why. I have been coming and going for a while between the US and Argentina. I am spending my days in Buenos Aires now and making arrangements to stay here for a while since my employer (Avature) has an office down here in the wonderful barrio de Palermo.

I am also fairly new in the online world. I arrived late to the party, so it feels a bit like being around drunk people when you just had your first morning coffee - the slow, awkward new girl in town. But I think this party will go on for quite some time, so I say we got here at primetime. :)

I look forward to seeing you around. I see you also Twitt?

I don't know why you don't want to use Kang as your nickname. It's imposing. General Kang would be even better.

You don't have to get used to my sense of humour because I don't have a sense of humour. This is just who I am. (Didn't you read my bio on my page?).

I run The Recruiting Animal Show.

And every other week Maureen takes over the last half hour and answers callers' questions about Telephone Sourcing.

If you have a lot of questions and it looks like you do, why don't we arrange for you to call in this Wed at 1pm? You don't have to be afraid because you don't even have to use your real name.

And in turn, I act as the secretary on Maureen's chats on MagicMethod because the chat function doesn't save the the conversations automatically. (You can see that it barely works at all).

So, that's me. Thanks for asking. You can reach me at recruitinganimal@gmail.com

You know how everyone on this site always says "How can I help?" I don't know if I can but you're welcome to ask. Rgds

Hi Susan, your question about the deep web is interesting. Unfortunately, by definition, deep web pages don't come up much in normal search results (hopefully that will be remedied) because it's typically dynamic content contained within databases that doesn't get spidered. There are some exceptions (e.g., see Johnny's examples at http://johnny.ihackstuff.com/ghdb.php for some extreme examples in practice, or http://dir.yahoo.com/Computers_and_Internet/Internet/World_Wide_Web/Deep_Web/?skw=deep.web+databases for more of an overview -- even try the query "deep web" databases), but in general, your best bet is to find the relevant databases, then go to those sites and run your specific queries to pull up the content.

Sure! What would you like to know? Blogspot is very easy to use and in minutes you can set up your own blog. The hardest part is picking a name and researching topics. I use all the social networking sites I'm a part of to promote it as well as sending an email alert to my network to increase traffic to the site. Send me an email for more info. jmiller-merrell@sbcglobal.net!

Have a great evening!

Thanks Susan. Sorry your not available to join. I believe that registration also provides a full playback if that helps. Here's a link to a past article on social networks and recruiting that may be of interest.
Cheers! Susan
