The Tortoise Beat the Hare in Aesop's Famous Fable

In the world of recruitment what lessons can be learned from Aesop's Fable? http://www.dltk-teach.com/fables/tortoise/index.htm

o What are the advantages and disadvantages of faster vs. seemingly slower processes in the selection process?

o Does the over-confidence factor still apply that caused the Hare to lose to the Tortoise in their famous race?

o Other thoughts?

Shot with a Canon EOS 5D at 1/1000 at F/4.5  Captured a turtle in mid-gallop.   Yes, turtles tend to gallop in the mid-day sun, especially on a concrete street.  They have to stay ahead of the traffic, e.g., cars, kids on bikes and dogs.

Somehow they managed to live quite along time, taking their time--getting to where they're going.
