Total Back Office Solutions can give you recruitment agency formation advice

Approximately one-third of recruiters in the UK are intended to expand into Europe during the course of the next year, in news that might be of interest to those looking to set up a recruitment agency.

The research, conducted by Baker Tilley Revas, surveyed 75 recruitment agencies - some of which revealed their intentions to expand further afield, with 6.7 per cent intending to move into South Africa within the next year.

Ann Swain, chief executive of APSCo, said: "Many of the UK recruitment businesses which posted the strongest results during the recession were buoyed by robust performance from overseas operations."

Despite these figures, currently less than 20 per cent of UK recruitment agencies conduct more than 25 per cent of their business abroad.

Recently, David Spencer-Percival, a founder of recruiter Huntress, commented that to improve profits in the current climate, recruitment agencies need to start escaping recessionary margins.

Outsourcing back office requirements may also help companies looking to set up a recruitment agency improve their margins.
