Total Back Office Solutions can give you recruitment agency formation advice

Ten changes to standard working life are expected to have reached fruition by 2020, which may interest those looking to set up a recruitment agency.

In research by Gartner, the company's vice-president and fellow Tom Austin divulges that work patterns will undergo fundamental structural changes over the next ten years.

These range from changes in working hours, working mixing more with home life due to advances in technology and a phenomenon known as 'swarming'.

'Swarming' is the coalition of multiple workers on a temporary basis, coming together rapidly to brainstorm ideas and solutions before disbanding again. It is suggested these will replace current more structured and formal work groups.

Tom Austin said: "[Employees will] work with others with whom they have few links and teams will include people outside the control of the organisation."

It is advised that companies identify which of these changes will most affect them and what technologies they will need to employ to cope with these.

Recently, the Chartered Management Institute commented on the rise of flexible working - something that companies are increasingly offering as options to their employees.
