Young adults in Britain are less hopeful of finding employment than their European counterparts, according to a new study, which may be useful information for those hoping to set up a recruitment agency.

The study from the International Labour Organisation (ILO) shows that the UK's young adults are struggling to find work more than those in Europe.

Global Employment Trends for Youth - the report from the ILO - suggests that youth employment in developed countries is now at its highest level.

The number of 15 to 24-year olds wanting to work while not actually looking for employment touched 23.7 per cent in the closing months of 2009.

Recently, figures released by the Institute for Public Policy Research showed that 2.4 million people in the UK are now employed.
