Total Back Office Solutions can handle your recruitment agency timesheet management

The Trades Union Congress (TUC) are calling for more employers to allow working from home and flexible hours, which may interest those looking to set up a recruitment agency.

As part of National Work From Home Day which takes place today (September 24th), the TUC are highlighting the benefits to both employee and employer that working from home can have.

These include reduced staff illness - as germs are not passed around as much - and less stress by avoiding the commute.

The lack of travel will reduce a company's carbon footprint and having fewer people in the office saves money on costly office space.

Additionally, employers will be able to recruit from a wider pool of people who may struggle to gain work due to travelling difficulties, such as single parents.

"Working from home can significantly improve productivity, enabling organisations to reduce costs whilst improving efficiency," comments chief executive of Work Wise UK Phil Flaxton.

Recently, the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development released a guide for employers to lower the stress levels among employees.
