Role: SQL Database Administrator



Summary:

3 to 5 years of minimum experience in DBA roles with MsSQL emphasis; exposure to web server management (MS IIS, Oracle, LINUX/UNIX web-server flavors) is desired. Teamwork and interpersonal skills, which reflect the ability to effectively interact with multiple leadership levels and user groups are required. The individual will display the ability to maintain stable performance under dynamic / challenging project and operations situations. Strong communication skills required.



Specific responsibilities include

· Installation, configuration and management of SQL Server 2000 and later release environments, SQL Server Enterprise Manager/ SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Server Profiler, SQL Server Index architecture, Performance Monitor, Query Analyzer, SQL Server DBCC Commands, Data Transformation Services, Replication, Windows 2000/2003

· Practical experience designing, monitoring and tuning SQL Server databases to ensure high availability in a cluster and/or SAN environment

· Experience with transactional SQL, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and cursors

· Exposure to designing and managing the internal and external database security
