I am currently an IT Recruiter at a smaller independent contracting firm that has primarily worked with larger banks as clients. recently one of the account executives tasked me with the job of finding some new business to get into and clients that are not necessarily in the banking industry. I have done a little research and found some verticals to try to get into (Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, energy) but as I have only been recruiting for little over a year now I am not real sure on the best way to approach this.
Any tips or suggestions on a good way to go about breaking into a new vertical would be greatly appreciated.
