I'm a recruiter for a national consulting firm- wondering if others in this arena have noticed any softening of salary requirements from candidates?
thanks

I am seeing candidates putting a bit more importance on lifestyle requirements versus monetary requirements. I am seeing the quality of life issues of more concern in recent months. I think in hard times, real or perceived that families and friends tend to circle the wagons. When things are well then they go out and get what they can for themselves. One issue regarding salary that seems to come up frequently is obtaining a certain salary level just to maintain a lifestyle. Too many sucessful professionals now find themselves with high Mortgage Payments, Child Rearing costs and Debt that forces them into a certain salary level to break even. This tremendously impacts their job search should they loose their job.
absolutley agree. how much pain can they endure and still maintain.
thanks Craig,
