Curious about how sourcers and recruiters can leverage semantic search?

With all the buzz about the semantic web, I wanted to explain how you can harness the power of user-defined semantic search for sourcing and recruiting - creating and executing searches that find people based on their responsibilities rather than the keywords they mention in their profile, post, or resume - without having to wait years until the semantic web comes.

There is semantic search functionality available to all sourcers and recruiters (via the Internet). Also - some Applicant Tracking Systems (such as Bullhorn) and job board resume databases (such as Monster) enable user-defined semantic search, and have for years.

I wrote a Tutorial Tuesday post for RecruitingBlogs back in December providing an introduction to semantic search, and wanted to highlight it here in case you missed it:

Please let me know if you if you already leverage semantic search in your sourcing and recruiting efforts, or if you have any questions.

Thanks!
