As a traditional process, recruiters charge their commission to companies for placing a candidate - for candidates it's a free service by recruiters.

In the recession times - where there are more job seekers out there than actual jobs, how do you think the candidate servicing model work? This way, recruiters can service candidates and charge them to find the jobs for these guys. They may get a duel benefit. In this case, it will be more candidate centric service than other way round.

Does this make financial sense? Do troubled job-seekers are willing to pay for this service? Is this a viable model?

I'm aware that there are few companies already out there who works on this basis?
