Eight months ago when I was laid-off I turned to online networking where I discovered my calling to help others find jobs. I saw a need to provide America with a resource that has a genuine purpose behind it. A reason where those seeking work can post their resumes in front of job seekers for free and a resource where companies that are hiring could post their jobs for a low fee without paying Monster or CareerBuilder prices. Needless to say I sold stocks, invested family savings and managed to launch JobsDirectUSA.com on November 9th 2008, just three days after losing my job.

Initially, as a self-made entrepreneur, I didn’t have a fancy website, an investment firm or even a company logo to back me up. However, I did have a sincere message to offer millions in the same situation, “Hey, I just got laid-off please let me help you”. Today, JobsDirectUSA.com has over 30,000 users nationwide made up of job seekers and recruiters of companies that are hiring. We have been recognized by news media outlets such as CNN and The Miami Herald for the efforts that we are making throughout various communities, both online and offline, to aide job seekers.

Today, we take another step towards setting ourselves apart from the other job websites. I am proud to announce that we have contracted Ghant Interactive, an Interactive Media firm based out of Weston Florida, to oversee IT operations for JobsDirectUSA.com. While the existing website will continue to operate normally the team at Ghant Interactive will be working around the clock to add NEW features to the website.

July 4, 2009: Completely NEW interactive design and layout for the JobsDirectUSA.com website.

July 25, 2009: NEW tools for job seekers and recruiters creating a more efficient, and effective, user experience.
