So there is a buzz zuzz-ing its way around the neighborhood these days. I am sure you have heard all about it and if you have not, well, this is your chance to learn about a wonderful offering coming to the RecruitingBlogs.com community in just a couple months. I am speaking of none other than RecruitFest '09...

The interesting thing about RecruitFest is the opportunity to assemble with the neighbors that are part of RBC - meet them face-to-face. Taking it off the page, so to speak, and slamming a virtual world into reality. The community that you are part of, here on RecruitingBlogs.com, is unlike any other. We are truly a community. Most of us live and breathe our careers: the daily communication and participation on this site provides information, tips, pot-stirring, friendship, rebellion, a place to bounce ideas off the noggins of like-minded professionals, as well as blow off a little (or a lot of) steam every now and again.

I, personally, have been a part of this community for eighteen months now. I have had the opportunity to join other groups that tout similar functionality and interaction, but RBC is my home. And like other RBC-ites, I like the frank discussions and the knowledge available here. The original content that is produced literally on the hour is incredible. The array of different occupations and responsibilities within the human resources world is truly vast.

So now, just imagine all this activity and brain power live and in-person. The opportunity to interact and kvetch with other community members is truly unique and represents everything that a real unconference is. The powers that be at RecruitingBlogs.com have been reaching out, the planning has been precise, the venue has been secured and the brouhaha is underway. It is impossible to replay or recapture RecruitFest '08, so that is not the goal of RF '09. Geoff Webb and Jason Davis have combined forces to create a whole new experience for all.

The Intercontinental Hotel in Toronto will once again host the festivities. This city and its surroundings are truly beautiful in September - I can attest to that! There is space available - I promise you will not want to miss RecruitFest '09, the RecruitingBlogs.com Unconference.

My bags are packed, I'm ready to go... well, not quite yet but September 23 - 24 is just around the corner, so register today and count on two days of enjoying your community and stepping out on the new front porch.

Hey Rayanne,

Tell me there could be some live streaming or something for those of us who can just watch?

Cheers

Dan
Hi Rayanne, looking forward to seeing you again at Recruitfest! We Torontonians are looking forward to welcoming you all to our wonderful city.
I'm kind of hoping that the tweets from the event will be at a minimum. we work too hard to get people to watch our stuff only to start blasting. It;s the major issue I have with chats that take place on twitter. Though I know I will be outvoted
A real recruiter would say to Sandra,

My experience tells me that you really don't want to come to RecruitFest! and that you will ultimately choose not to attend the event. I have heard a lot of excuses before but horses is a new one. The thing my client likes about you and the things your references say about you is that you can make decisions and it is clear to me that you cannot so perhaps we need to re open the search.
it always works if done well and really, it doesn't matter to me if you join us or not because I have already been paid to do the search and it's probably best you stay where you are because my client (Geoff) and I obviously misjudged your perfectness for the role.

And ya can't bait me. I've used that one too many times you manipulative, control freak. :) the takeaway doesn't work with personalities like mine. LOL
