Experiential Education 2009 and Beyond: Benchmarks & Trends

Session Description:

Recruiters as well as career services professionals have identified experiential education as one of the most important issues facing the field now and in the future. Join Jennifer Rutt, NACElink director from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), and review the latest benchmarks and trends in experiential education. Based on results of NACE's 2009 Experiential Education Survey, this workshop looks at key metrics--conversion and retention rates, salaries, and more—and examines where experiential education has been, and where it's going. We will also examine the effects of the current economic climate on college recruiting.

Speaker Bio:

Jennifer is the NACElink Director at the National Association of College and Employers. Jennifer has been involved with NACElink, the national recruiting network and suite of web based recruiting and career services automation tools, since its release in 2002. NACElink began with nearly 25 pilot schools, and today has grown to include more than 900 college and university career centers. Jennifer continues to be highly engaged in critical aspects of NACElink operations including: product development, sales and marketing, customer service, partner relationships and contracting. She is a member of the NACElink Operations Team, NACElink Strategic Planning Team, NACElink Program Planning Team and the NACE Global Initiatives Committee. Prior to working with NACE, Jennifer coordinated and brokered creative endeavors for independent artists with corporations in need of artistic services for an organization called Creative Assets.
