Session Topic:

Changing Supply and Demand: Lessons Learned From the Real Estate Industry

Session Description:

From 2001 to 2006 the number of realtors in the U.S. increased by more than 40% to just over 1.3 million. The market was strong and everyone wanted to be a real estate agent. Those responsible for recruiting new agents to the business were enjoying ample supply. Then things started to change. Stats from 2007 reported a modest drop. By 2008, there was a 10% decline in licenses across the country; and the numbers have continued to drop through the first quarter of 2009. Today, recruiting for the real estate industry is arguably one of the toughest jobs out there.

This critical session, offers “in-the-trenches” insight that will help not only recruiters in the realtor industry adapt to a change in trends, but HR and talent management professionals across other industries, as well.

Key Takeaways:

• The reasons why “recruiting” has ceased to work and how this might apply to your specific industry
• Why company culture is the single most important talent attraction tool you have
• How to use different personas to attract generational talent
• Virtual talent attraction ideas
