As I look into the future I see myself moving into more of a holistic human capital role that allows me to work with the leadership team and focus with training/development/learning, business development, and talent acquisition. I see this as an opportunity to look at a business from a macro view and understand their current human capital, what their future demand is, and what business objectives they wish to achieve. Then would look at exisiting skill gaps, how to most effectively recruit internally first, then work on how to fill demand with a combination of contract, part-time, and full-time resources. While doing this I would make sure to weave in a cohesive diversity strategy to ensure we are attracting and retaining diverse talent. I find this work extremely rewarding and feel many more people in talent acquisition will find themselves in this field.
