I'm 35, married with a 19 month old. I did recruiting 5 yrs ago and got out of it. Want to get back in but feel l might be too old for it. I personally don't think so but I think others may. Any recruiters out there my age with a family? If so, how's it working out?

Hi Mari - I am a bit younger, but I too am a working mom with 2 kids. Well, technically no one is too old :) Definetely can be a struggle if you are a single mom or if you too have a two-person working family such as mine, unless you can find a company with a "true" alternative work policy or one that embraces the virtual working world. We find a way to "manage" our busy schedules, however it does get exhausting at times but I guess we all do what we have to do. I am sure you would be able to pick things back up quickly - feel free to contact me. Best of luck!
I appreciate all your feedback. I've wasted a lot of my youth working in jobs that were stable because I needed a consistant income. And am sort of regetting this. Only because people who know me professionally and personally, say I need to be in sales. I'm a socialite and love interacting with people. I genuinely enjoy helping people succeed. Whether I've done it directly or indirectly, I've helped so many people find jobs or at least broaden their network, assisted them with their resume, coach them on how to sell themselves on interviews, etc... My husband says stay where I am. I work in sales training and development but it's turned into more of a behind the scenes role because we're moving towards elearning vs Instructor-Led. Not for me. Amongst some other direct reporting issues, it's becoming more and more stressful for me going into work. I feel like I need a change but need to also be realistic about my next move. You guys ever hear of Judge Group? They're bringing me in for an interview.
