Encouraging foreign language take-up in schools could benefit businesses, it has been stated.

Total Back Office Solutions can handle your recruitment agency timesheet management.

Those looking into how to set up a recruitment agency with the view to placing candidates in overseas destinations such as China and Spanish-speaking markets could benefit from a drive to promote foreign languages in schools.

Labour MP Chris Bryant, a former minister for Europe, said recently in a speech to the House of Commons that it would be beneficial for businesses if young people were taught foreign languages.

Mr Bryant expressed a desire for students to be taught Mandarin, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic rather than just "useless modern foreign languages like French", which he argued is in decline.

Those considering recruitment agency timesheet management may be interested to hear that the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) is in favour of such a move because it will be "of great benefit" to businesses.

However, Simon Nathan, the CBI's senior policy advisor on education, argued that the likes of Mandarin and Arabic should be taught alongside, not instead of, French.
