I wanted to try an experiment to see just how fast Google can index a new Word press blog. This video shows that it really is only a few seconds from creating a post to Google indexing the page. This has big implications for recruiters posting vacancies onto web sites. It is likely that the best result is that new content should appear first on your own site therefore:
1. Always rewrite your own advertising copy, don't cut and paste as Google is likely not to recognize this as new content.
2. Always post first to your own web site. Google will see your site as important as that is where content appears first and any subsequent post to a job board will be seen as a copy of this.
3. Ensure your web site is working effectively to be indexed by Google. Try this experiment and see how fast your new pages are being indexed.
